New Features, New Rules, New League Formats
New Deals, New Ways to Grow Your Game!
It’s a new year and we at Ultimate Tennis are proud to bring you some new, significant changes designed to improve your overall flex league experience. We spent a great deal of time over the past year talking with many of you about how we could improve the league what you needed to help you grow your game. You responded with fantastic ideas that we were happy to implement. You see, for us customer-driven innovation is not a buzzword; it’s how we do business. Take a look at some of the new features we have introduced this month and let us know what you think.
Scheduling Features
- Better match completion - Ultimate Tennis has the best match completion rates of any flex league however we intend to make it even better! Our new system will quickly identify players that are not playing their matches and remove them. Offenders will be suspended and not allowed to re-enter the league without a formal review
- Improved division sorting - previously we sorted players based on the zip code of their chosen facility. Now we've improved the sorting accuracy down to your actual street address.
- We use drive time information from Google - to gives you the best player schedule based on actual drive time information
- Bye weeks - All leagues will now include one "Bye" week during the season allowing more time for make up matches
- Designated captains for doubles and mixed teams. Assigned captains make scheduling easier by providing a single point of contact.
Competition Features
- Doubles partners ratings will be traced individually as well as by team. Our new monitoring system will ensure that doubles teams play at the correct level even when they switch partners. Players can’t cheat the system just by selecting a new partner.
- Doubles partners of different skill levels can play at their average team level which will provide flexibility and produce more competitive matches. Example a 3.5 and a 4.0 player would play at 4.0- level
- Stricter rules regarding the playoff eligibility of first season players. We want to reserve the playoffs for our existing members that have accurate ratings and worked hard to achieve their position. If a new member moves up a skill level in their first season, they will be treated as a new member in their second season or until their skill level has settled.
Scoring Features
- Email confirmation of match scores - After every match score is reported or changed you will receive an email confirmation.
- Confirmation of sub matches: Matches against subs will require that you define the name of the sub when reporting scores. The sub will receive a confirmation email which will prevent players from faking sub matches.
Reporting Features
- New heads up dashboard - displays of all your key stats in big bold numbers
- New player interface tabs - quickly access the most recent playing history of any player
- Singles, doubles and mixed tabs - helps you quickly switch from one event type to another
- Profile pictures - helps you find your opponents when you get to the courts
- Profile info - a nice way to let others know a little bit about you before you meet on court. You choose the information you want to share
- New schedule page - highlights your match of the week with a head to head comparison of key stats
- Improved player search - now it’s even easier to find friends and research players
- Division standings and detailed division standings are all on one page
- Google maps for 100% of the listed facilities - finding your opponent’s courts couldn’t be easier
- Events page - expanded calendar of events allows for better planning. Now you can register for leagues months in advance
- Fantastic registration deals from our partners displayed on your event sign-up page
