Frequently Asked Questions

Why do I have to play the same player twice this season?

Our computer uses a special algorithm that minimizes driving times by sorting players into divisions based on the zip codes of their chosen facility, therefore the number of players in each division can range from 6-12 players. Because each player must play the same number of matches each season, in smaller divisions there may be one or two players you play twice. Likewise, in larger divisions, there may be one or two players you do not play at all.

Why does my schedule say I have to play a "Sub" in my last week?

When you see "sub" listed in your last week, this means you must play a substitute player that week. Because all players must play the same number of matches, in divisions with an odd number of players, i.e. 7, 9 and 11 one player is randomly selected to play a sub.

I'm injured and need to withdraw what should I do?

Read Canceling Play and Injuries to determine if you should withdraw. If you are unable to complete the season, a link to withdraw is provided on this page.

Where do I find updates to my division?

If there is a "withdrawn" or "replaced" player in your division, an update will appear on the schedule. If you have difficulty reaching an opponent, check your schedule to see if their contact information has been updated.

What do I do when a player has withdrawn from my division?

If a player has withdrawn from your division:

  • Check your "schedule page" to see if a replacement has been added.
  • If we have not replaced the player you have 2 options:
    1. Playing a "sub" (you have the entire season to make this match up using a sub)
    2. Report a "default" and receive your "current average"

To report a default, select the default option in the scoring menu. If at a later time we replace the withdrawn player, you have the option of replaying the match against the new player and taking the score from the match yielding the most points.

I have already played a sub for the withdrawn player in my division, do I have to play the replacement player as well?

No, but your rating will count for the match against the replacement player whereas the match against a sub will give you points toward your total but you will not receive a rating.

I have been contacted by a replacement player but the deadline has passed, will this match count?

Yes, you have until the end of the season to play the match and report the scores to the league office. After playing the match, you may keep the score from the match yielding the most points.
